Tel no: 01434 67 33 50.
Set in over a thousand acres of exquisite Northumberland countryside, Slaley Hall is a former elegant edwardian mansion house which has been lovingly converted into a unique award winning luxurious hotel. Just a few miles from Hexham racecourse, and with two championship golf courses, Slaley Hall is the ideal venue for sports minded guests.
Slaley Hall offers four kinds of luxury accommodation. There are 7 classically elegant suites in the Old Hall, and 10 magnificently appointed luxury suites in the New Hall. There are also Deluxe twin and double rooms, all with views of the golf course. Finally, incorporating total comfort and seclusion, there are several stone and wood lodges located within the grounds of the estate. All of the hotel’s guest quarters offer superb comfort, top quality furnishings and fittings, sumptuous private bathroom facilities, state of the art entertainment systems, and in the Lodges there are superbly equipped kitchen and dining spaces.
Dining can be enjoyed in 3 areas of the hotel. The main restaurant is a beautifully designed facility which offers a menu of perfectly prepared meals sourced from local Northumberland ingredients. The Dukes Grill is a classic style restaurant located in a traditional Edwardian room, and the Claret Jug, offers bistro style ambience. There are also two separate bars, plus comfortable lounge facilities.
Apart from its golf courses, Slaley Hall also offers a 20 metre indoor swimming pool, a gymnasium, and a forest trail. For guests who prefer to be relaxed and pampered, the hotel Spa offers a full range of beauty and massage therapies.

Best Western Beaumont Hotel Hexham.
Tel no: 01434 60 23 31.
Located in the centre of Hexham, the Best Western Beaumont Hotel is the ideal base for race goers attending Hexham races. The current en suite guest rooms are equipped with comfortable beds, remote controlled television, internet access, and the standard amenities you expect in a quality hotel, including room service. From October of 2008, the hotel’s facilities will be complimented by the building of 16 new comtemporary and spacious dbedrooms. This new extension is to be built on stilts, and will utilise the space at the rear of the hotel currently occupied by the hotel’s ground floor car park. Because of the location of the extension, disruption to the existing hotel will be minimal.
Diner’s in the hotel’s Park Restaurant could be forgiven for thinking they are in the countryside, for the view from the restaurant windows is of the historic gardens surrounding Hexham Abbey. The country theme is continued in the restaurant’s fine cuisine, with much of the menu using produce obtained from local Northumbrian farms and suppliers. The hotel’s bar and lounge both offer a light bite menu, and they also form the ideal venues to relax and chat.
