Fatality and injury at Chester.

A horriffic incident occurred during the listed one mile five and a half furlong race at Chester this afternoon. After a clip of heels three horses and jockeys ended up flat on the track. Unfortunately, as a result of injuries suffered in the incident, multiple winner Sir Duke had to be put down.

Following the same incident, last year's leading jockey Seb Sanders was taken by ambulance to the Countess of Chester with a suspected broken leg.

Dark Night for Hills.

William Hills had to brood their way through a dark night after being hit by two internet punters for one hundred and forty five thousand pounds on yesterday's racing. The punters from Aberdeen and buckinghamshire netted their winnings on multiple bets, and Hills were partly to blame for their own losses, as their best odds guaranteed policy doubled the amount they had to pay out.

The punter from Aberdeen is particularly interesting, as he opened his account with a sixty pound deposit in 2006, and he did not use his account until his winning bet yesterday. With such insight, he should be running a tipping line!
