Scoop Six not won this weekend.
We can confirm the Totesport Scoop Six bet has not been won this weekend - Full details on roll-overs will appear in Sunday's news section.
Twist Magic may be the real deal in 2010.
After being a little reluctant to start in today's Victor Chandler Chase at Ascot, Ruby Walsh decided to take race favourite Twist Magic straight into the lead, and realising this meant Walsh intended to use the same front running tactics as in the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown, Tony Mccoy decided to bring second favourite Petit Robin to challenge the leader a long way from home. But try as he might to upset Twist Magic by 'eye-balling' him all the way to the final home turn, Twist Magic was jumping fluently, while Petit Robin kept jumping to his left and making mistakes.
In the home straight, Twist Magic kept galloping like a true champion, and it was soon obvious Petit Robin would have to settle for second place in today's two mile one furlong Grade 1 contest.
Last year's Grand Annual winner Oh Crick put in some eye-catching late work on his seasonal debut, and his closing third may be a sign of better to come.
Editor's note: If Twist Magic can carry this kind of form through to the Cheltenham Festival, he will be a major challenger to a fully fit Masterminded in this year's Queen Mother Champion Chase, and if Masterminded does not go to Prestbury Park 100% fit, Twist Magic could at last live up to his true potential by landing the 'big one'.
Medermit confirms Cheltenham running with Punjabi.
Taken along by stable mate Afsoun in today's sportingbet.com Champion Hurdle Trial at Haydock, 2009 Champion Hurdler Punjabi had every chance if he had been good enough on the day, but in the closing stages as Avsoun weakened, it was Alan King's Medermit he found the most over the final three hurdles, going on to defeat Punjabi by four lengths, and franking their recent Cheltenham form, where both wer outclassed by Kyber Kim.
Diamond Harry comes of age.
Going to the third last in today's Grade 2 Altcar Novices Chase at Haydock, Barry Geraghty had just brought odds-on favourite Diamond Harry to mount his challenge to leaders Knockara Beau and Mumbles Head, but he was accompanied in his challenge by Bensalem, who also appeared to be going well. But the quickening Bensalem met the fence all wrong, and his sprawling fall also interfered with Knockara Beau, and Diamond Harry was left 8 lengths in front, an advantage he was never going to lose in the closing stages as he jumped impeccabley over the last two fences.
It has to be said, even if Bensalem had stayed on his feet, it is unlikely he would have defeated Diamond Harry in today's contest, and trainer Nick Williams must now think he has a definite RSA chase prospect in his stable.
Harrington's Roberto Goldback enters the fray.
Following up on his recent victory over Cousin Vinny, Jessica Harrington's Roberto Goldback put his name forward as a potential Cheltenham winner with a bloodless success in this afternoon's MCR Novice Chase at Leopardstown.
Laying close to leader Apt Approach, Robbie Power sent Roberto Goldback on before the last, and a fluent jump sealed the race as his mount went on to score by 6 lengths.
Our Vic rolls back the years in Peter Marsh Chase.
Never headed throughout today's 3 mile contest, twelve-year-old Our Vic galloped all the way to the line to secure a two length victory in today's Peter Marsh Chase on heavy ground at Haydock Park.
David Pipe's old campaigner always looked in control, and when eventual runner up Palypso de Creek tried to bring some pressure to bear in the home straight, Our Vic found plenty for his young jockey, staying on strongly for a repeat of former glories.
According to Pete was a distant third, while 2009 winner Cloudy Lane and 2009 Grand National winner Mon Mome found their joint top weight too much in today's heavy underfoot conditions.
David Pipe enjoyed a good across the card double when Mamlook ran on strongly to win the Grade 2 hurdle at Ascot, with Nicky Henderson's Tasheba in second, and Pipe'sother runner Loch Derg a gallant third under top weight of 11 stone 12 pounds.
Puyol provides Mulhearn with tonic in MCR Hurdle.
Owner trainer John Mulhearn has been suffering from a serious illness of late, so he will have received a major boost when in form jockey John Cullen drove his 16/1 outsider Puyol to a half length victory over the Willie Mullins trained Tawaagg in this afternoon's re-arranged MCR Hurdle at Leopardstown.
Sweetheart goes one better.
While market leaders Strawberry, (Nicky Henderson yard), and Whiteoak, (Donald Mccain yard) were very disappointing, being pulled up and finishing last respectively, last year's runner up to Lucy Wadham's top class mare United - Sweetheart - showed great tenacity as she stayed on well to hold off a late challenge from Easter Legend in this year's renewal of the Grade 2 1942 Was A Great Year Mares Hurdle at Ascot.
Peddlers provides Mccain with fiftieth success.
Donald Mccain scored his fiftieth training victory of the season when his progressive Peddlers Cross ran out a comprehensive winner of the sportingbet.com Novice Hurdle at this afternoon's Haydock meeting.
Always dictating the pace under an enterprising ride from Jason Maguire, Peddlers Cross had all his rivals in trouble as he entered the home straight on the final circuit, and after the last he cruised home by 16 lengths from Scriptwriter, with disappointing favourite Radium back in third.
Possible £350,000 available from Scoop Six.
There were no winners of either section of last week's Scoop Six wager, and with £73,066 in the Win Fund and £135,010 in the Bonus Fund prior to today's investments, it is predicted by Totesport the combination of both 'pots' for today's Scoop Six will reach £350,000.
To secure a share of today's Win Fund, you need to find the winners of the following six races:
Leg 1 - 2.05 pm Ascot.
Leg 2 - 2.30 pm Wincanton.
Leg 3 - 2.40 pm Ascot.
Leg 4 - 3.10 pm Ascot.
Leg 5 - 3.30 pm Haydock Park.
Leg 6 - 3.45 pm Ascot.
Milan's Man looks a useful outsider.
Debutant Milan's Man battled clear of smart flat performer Tilt in a Catterick novice hurdle yesterday afternoon, and Howard Johnson's new recruit looks the sort to show plenty of improvement off his first hurdling experience, and may be one to pencil in for an each way bet in one of Cheltenham's novice hurdling contests.
