Mullins makes his decision over Deutschland.
Willie Mullins has pulled Deutschland out of the running for this year's Galway Plate, preferring instead to give the relatively inexperienced chaser a run in the Galway Hurdle.
The decision means at today's latest decleration stage 52 horses remain entered in the Galway Plate, with Paul Nicholls having the current top weight Hoo la Baloo and race favourite Roby de Cimbre.
Although Dermot Weld's Majestic Concord is still in the potential line-up, the trainer indicated the anticipated ground at Galway makes him, at this stage, an unlikely runner.
National Stakes used to commemorate Vincent O'Brien.
Legendary trainer Vincent O'Brien is to be commemorated at the Curragh when the Group 1 National Stakes will be renamed in his honour on 12 September.

During the day, members of the general public will have an opportunity to visit an exhibition of O'Brien memorabilia, and several of his close associates will be on hand to give an insight into the man and his legendary training achievementss.

O'Brien and Stoute runners dominate King George field.
With Fremantle joining Cima de Triomphe as a non-runner, nine horses have been left to battle out Saturday's Betfair sponsered King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot.
Sir Michael Stoute will be responsible for the first two in the market, Conduit and Tartan Bearer, along with Coronation Cup victor Ask.
Aidan O'Brien relies on 2008 Irish Derby winner Frozen Fire, and three year olds Golden Sword, and Rockhampton.
The field is made up by Ralph Becketts 2008 Epsom Oaks winner Look Here, along with potential outsiders Alwaary and Scintillo.
Chapple Hyam issues ground warning over Monitor Closely.
Although there are nine horses still left in the line-up for the Group 2 Skybet York Stakes over ten furlongs at the Knavesmire this Saturday, trainer Peter Chapple Hyam has indicated Hampton Court Stakes third Monitor Closely will only run if ground conditions are not made worse than 'good' by forecast rain.
At present Monitor Closely is due to line-up against John Gosden's 2008 Cambridgeshire winner Tazeez, Godolphin's recent Listed winner Kirklees, Luca Cumani's Grand Prix de St Cloud fourth Curtain Call, Michael Bell's Allied Powers, Tom Tate's dual South African Group 1 import Kings Gambit, Mick Channon's consistant Halicarnassus, 2008 Lincoln Handicap cvictor Smokie Oakie, and George Moore's apparent outsider Macorville.
They are tough these national hunt jockeys!
Marc Goldstein, the 23 year old younger brother of fellow jockey Jamie Goldstein, today sat on a horse for the first time in four months at Sheena West's Lewes stables. As he did so, he must have recalled the horrific fall at Fakenham on Easter Monday which left him with a catalogue of serious injuries including; a pelvis broken in two places, a dislocated and broken left elbow, a splintered bone in his left heel, and several facial injuries which included teeth pushed through his lower lip.
The younger Goldstein has now been given the all clear to start riding out, and he took the first opportunity to get back into the saddle, but he will have to wait to start race riding until the tendons around his injured heel are fully repaired.
Levy Board agree 5% cut in stormy meeting.
At what was described as a very stormy meeting at Levy Board headquarters on Wednesday, members finally agreed on ann across the board cut of 5% in racing prize money for 2010. Although a large group of the Levy Board members disagreed with the final decision, the plan was approved by majority vote.
With the Racehorse Owners Association opposing the move, the decision to cut is likely to be the first step in a long on-going debate within the racing industry.
At Racingsight, we appreciate the Levy Board has to work within its limitations, but we re-emphasise, some new deal with bookmakers must be workde out if the british racing industry is to prosper in the future, and the bookmakers need to realise that as much as the authorities involved in running the sport.
Stoute confirms riding arrangements.
As expected, Sir Michael Stoute has confirmed Ryyan Moore will ride Conduit in Saturday's Betfair sponsered King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes, with Mick Kinane taking the ride on Tartan Bearer.
Although well anticipated, the confirmation may cause Conduit to tighten even further as the favourite for Ascot's Saturday centre-piece.
Michael Owen suspends Vaughn.
Former assistant to John Gosden, Nicky Vaughn has been suspended as the licensed trainer at Michael Owen's state of the art stables at Malpas in Cheshire.
The former England striker has been dissatisfied with the form of the horses under his ownership during 2009, and he is due to hold a meeting with Vaughn in the next few days. It is understood, a decision on their business relationship will be issued after the meeting.
