Are You On?After all the hype, we finally come to the Saturday with a 4 million pound Scoop Six pay out, and without being too flippant, the simple fact is, 'You can only win it if you are in it!'. As I stated in yesterday's editorial, I would be happy to see some individuals among today's winners, as that would be very good for the whole racing industry. So apart from your normal wagers, why not have a line on the Scoop Six today, you never know, you might win! Nicky hopes Jack will be back on track.Nicky Henderson may have his main attention centred on Binocular's run at Haydock today, but he will probably be keeping track of Jack the Giant as he returns to action. Third in the Arkle Trophy in 2007, Jack the Giant was being well prepared for this year's Cheltenham Festival before suffering a tendon injury which has kept him off the track for 319 days. The trainer had planned to run him in last week's Paddy Power Gold Cup, but soft ground precluded his participation. The Sevenbarrows handler is not sure if today's minimum two mile trip in the Carey Group Handicap Chase at Ascot will prove too sharp for his six year old, but as he said yesterday, "We have to start somewhere." Connections planning return to Cheltenham. Osana, who ran so well in defeat in this year's Champion Hurdle, is to return to the trackfor the first time this season in the boylesports.com International Hurdle at Cheltenham on 13 December. Having beaten his Champion Hurdle conqueror Catch It by eight lengths in last year's corresponding race, Osana is attempting to emulate Comedy of Errors, Birds Nest, and Relkeel, who all won this race in two successive years. Murtagh signs off in style.Last night, jockey Johnnie Murtagh finished his Irish domestic flat season in style with a double at Dundalk. Having recorded 80 domestic victories on top of his outstanding Group One worldwide successes for his Ballydoyle retainers, Murtagh is now off to Japan for a fortnight, where he will ride Sixties Icon in the Japan Cup, and then compete in an international jockeys challenge the following weekend. Speaking at Dundalk last night, Murtagh said, "After that, I plan a nice long holiday before returning to ride in Dubai in February."
