Barber Shop a confirmed runner. This afternoon, Nicky Henderson has confirmed, unless there is a dramatic change in the predicted weather for the next few days, Barber Shop will be a definite runner in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham on Saturday. Nicholls bullish about Silver Burn.No one could ever accuse Paul Nicholls of having a pessimistic nature, but even by his optimistic standards, he is being very positive about Silver Burn's chances in this Saturday's Paddy Power Gold Cup. In an interview yesterday, he indicated the projected going at Cheltenham is perfect, and Silver Burn is in peak form and should be good enough to win the race. Quick return for Chomba Womba.Nicky Henderson looks certain to run his Elite Hurdle winning mare Chomba Womba in Sunday's Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham. She is reported to be in fine condition following last Saturday's run, and the only concern will be the Cheltenham Hill, as she was run out of first place in last March's Mares Hurdle over the final climb to the line. Sizing Europe back to best.Henry de Bromhead is adamant Sizing Europe, who was last year's pre race favourite for the Cheltenham Champion Hurdle, has fully recovered from the recurrent injury problems which dogged his last campaign, and the trainer is expecting a big run when Sizing Europe returns to action in this Sunday's Maplewood Development Hurdle at Punchestown. Straw Bear now aimed at Cheltenham.Having missed his last two targeted races due to heavy underfoot conditions, Nick Gifford has intimated Straw Bear may run in a Novices Chase at Cheltenham on Sunday. Bangor Optimistic.Officials at Bangor-on-dee are confident tomorrow's meeting will go ahead. Although the course is currently very heavy, today is expected to be dry with plenty of sunshine, and with no further rain forecast, the course should dry out sufficiently for racing to take place tomorrow afternoon. Stable considering double raid on Becher Chase.Davy Fitzgerald is considering the possibility of running both Mister Topnotch and Operation Houdini in the Becher Chase at Aintree on Sunday 23 November. Mister Topnotch finished second behind Dear Villex in last month's Munster National, while the Mallow stewards denied Operation Houdini victory in the Cork National earlier this month. Although Mister Topnotch has alternative entries in races at Haydock on 22 November, it is possible the trainer intends to give both of his horses experience over the Grand National fences, with a view to possible entries in the Grand National itself in April.
