Another Meeting Lost!In what is becoming one of the wettest year's on record, today's fixture at Limerick has been lost to waterlogging. Somehow, yesterday's card went ahead, but at the completion of racing, an inspection of the course took place, and officials made the early decision to cancel today's meeting. Chomba Womba still in Greatwood.Nicky Henderson has decided to keep Chomba Womba in the line-up for Saturday's Greatwood Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham. The mare is said to be in fine condition after her victorious efforts in Wincanton's Elit Hurdle, and there is a fifty fifty chance she could try to win two big hurdle races in successive weekends. King still upbeat about Catch It.Alan King was not disappointed with Catch It's third place in the Elite Hurdle on Saturday. After the race he commented, " He had to give eighteen pounds to the winner, and he is certainly not one hundred per cent fit at this stage." Despite the trainer's reassurances, the 2008 Champion Hurdler has not so far shown the same spark and fight as last season, and it remains to be seen as to whether he can recapture top form in time for the Cheltenham Festival next March. Bear may sidestep Exeter.Following Straw Bear's recent second at Exeter behind Sir Harry Almersher, Nick Gifford had been hopeful of returning to the track for a run in Tuesday's Beginners Chase, but heavy rain and soft underfoot conditions may necessitate a rethink. Gifford has stated his seven year old has come on since his last run, but he is certain Straw Bear would not be seen at his best on a soft racing surface.
