Fringe at Musselburgh tomorrow evening.

Visitors to tomorrow evening's fixture at Musselburgh are to receive a free show. Eight of the acts currently performing at the Edinburgh Fringe are to entertain spectators with shortened sets from their various comedic and musical stage shows.

Big Entry expected for Great Saint Wilfred at Ripon

It appears, Ripon's big race of the season, the William Hill sponsored Great St Wilfred Heritage Handicap, will attract its usual bumper field of over twenty runners. The race is the centrepiece of Saturday's fixture at Ripon, and as usual, it will form part of Channel 4's saturday afternoon racing coverage.

Pontefract's last Sunday Meeting for this season

Race goers are reminded, 17 August represents your last opportunity to enjoy Sunday Racing at Pontefract. The highlight of the day's racing is the High Field Farms Flying Fillies Stakes, a listed race over six furlongs, this year worth a tremendous one hundred and ten thousand pounds.

Weather worries for Stratford Evening Meeting.

Stratford officials are keeping a close eye on the prevailing weather conditions. With heavy rain forecast over the next two days, and with the racecourses' position in a bend of the River Avon, officials are obviously concerned about possible flooding.

However, as things stand, the racecourse management are confident the evening meeting planned for Thursday will go ahead, if on ground more typical of the winter months.

Quality Racing and Family Fun at Bath.

As the school summer holidays are still in full swing, Bath Racecourse has decided to offer spectators for this coming Sunday's meeting a full range of free family activities in its enclosures.

A quality race programme also includes the EBF Dick Hern Listed Stakes, one of the premier races held on the west country track.
